Rain and More Rain

Our rain has started for the fall and winter here in the Pacific Northwest. Some days I hate it and other days the rain is peaceful and inviting. All and all I can work in the rain just as well as I can in the sun and maybe better in my case. I can't stand to be hot.
I have had the flu since last weekend . I was really sick for 2 days but then started getting better. I still don't feel like I should and I have a bad chest cough soooooo if it isn't better by Monday I guess I better take myself to the doctor.
My husband and sons changed the wood stove we had in the living room today. The stove that was in the house when we bought it last year was to small and we were feeding it wood constantly. This one will be much better. I love wood heat and hope I never have to give it up. It is such a warm cozy heat.
The geese and ducks have been thoroughly enjoying the new pond in the pasture now that it has some water in it. They go back and forth a dozen times a day.

  1. I love the rainy days very much, especially if I can stay inside and work. I am sorry to read that you have been sick Robin and I hope you are feeling better soon.

We got a new woodstove last year and you are so right about wood heat, it is the best for true warmth and coziness..plus, with our free source of firewood, a very cost effective fuel source.
