Hello Everyone,
Well Christmas has come and gone. It was just too fast for me. Our weather has been so terrible and with the terrible wind storm just before Christmas it left most of us in a mess. I was quite comfortable without power because I have spent years preparing my home for an emergency. But there were so many people that suffered. And some are still without power. It has been a long haul. Now we have snow and ice but it never stays to long.
I had a little problem today with my geese. Something that has never happened to me before. One of my geese died and I think it was because I haven't been feeding them food with enough protein in it. I was just feeding them scratch. We have no grass right now and they need grass. I felt so bad. I sure hope I don't lose anymore. I bought them new food. You would think after having animals as long as I have I would have realized this. You are never to old to learn especially on a farm.
I finished a nice scarf for my daughter in law and she really liked it so that made me feel good.
I have almost finished my first block from my applique class and will post it as soon as I get it done. I am a little slow .
I am having a time with Carpul Tunnel and have an appointment to see the doctor at the end of January. I was suppose to have this taken care of 5 years ago but put it off and wasn't bothered with it to bad until about 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden it was just terrible so I decided it was time to get it taken care of.
This is a really good salad I made during the holiday. Hope you like it. I didn't put the dressing over it until a couple of hours before it was served.
