Ironing Today

I haven't ironed in months so I decided to iron up some things that needed to be done. I had forgotten how much I love to iron. It is so relaxing to me. I have to admit I am good at it, LOL. Many years ago when my friend Pat and I both had husbands in the Army, and lived next to each other, we would take our ironing once a week to each others homes and iron all day. Our kids were there to play with each other and we had lunch and made a day of it. It was the most fun and was just part of our lives. I really, really miss that. I'll bet she still irons to and still loves to do it as much as I do.

  1. Hey Robin, just read your post today & it brought back sooooo many memories. We did have fun, didn't we? Yes, I still like to iron, but boy am I ever behind. I am very productive when I have a good book on CD to listen too. Have you read The Help by Kathryn Stockett? If not, you should borrow it from your library & be sure to get the audio version, as the reader's are truly southern with authenic accents. You will love it. It is about a group of jr. league women in the 60's and of course the help are the black women that work for them. Please, please do this for me & let me know how you like it. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving my forever friend.
