Thanksgiving is Right Around the Corner

My goodness I didn't realize until just a few minutes ago that Thanksgiving is a week or so away. Where did this month go. We are going to our oldest sons home for Thanksgiving. It is always fun for me to go somewhere else on a holiday after many years of having them at our home. However my husband still insists we have Christmas here and he is very firm about it. I do love to have Christmas here.
The weather is very dreary  with lots of rain but they are talking of snow maybe the end of the week. We will see.
The sheep are very unhappy with the weather. It is so muddy and they do not like mud so they spend most of their time in the barn keeping there toes dry.The geese and ducks are loving it. Swimming around on the pond like they don't have a care in the world.
I just finished yet another book " When the Heart Cries " by Cindy Woodsmall. It was very good. About an Amish girl and how the Amish community treated her  when her life was in turmoil. Very interesting.
Well off to bake something. Until next time........
